In response to the comments by US President Trump on autism and pain relief medicines, we have made a statement.

As a charity working with hundreds of #ActuallyAutistic adults and having over 20% of staff who are autistic, we aim to help autistic adults by reducing barriers and promoting equality.

The Advonet Group

US President Donald Trump’s recent comments about the “causes” of autism spread harmful myths. Autism is not caused by vaccines or pain relief medicines.
These claims distract from what matters most - improving the lives of autistic people through better support, inclusion and understanding.
Research should focus on reducing barriers and promoting equality, not chasing myths.

On the last Tuesday of every month, our friends at @mesmac.bsky.social run their Neuro-Queer Group! It is for #neurodivergent adults living in the #Bradford district who are also #LGBTQIA+, running from 4pm-6pm.

On Friday evenings, Spectrum Games and Crafting run a social group for #ActuallyAutistic adults, as well as adults with other #neurodivergent conditions at Bingley Baptist Church.

Local services will be there to give useful info on managing your money and getting help. It takes place on Wednesday 24th September, on the middle floor.
