I wasn’t listening, I just don’t rate Webb. If we’re talking small modular nuclear reactors as far as I’m aware it is an untested technology. I just re-read Andrew Cockburn’s substack article on it. Here’s an extract.

One wonders if the real target here is the Israel/Gaza/West Bank coverage. According to Haaretz the Israeli government is spending millions trying to shore up support in the US

Ah, the poseur Douglas Murray who, beshaded, bravely with an IDF guard, sat in a man’s death chair. Something macabre about this despite Sinwar’s wickedness.

One wonders AR is the expensive PR/damage limitation campaign referred to this Haaretz article might have some bearing.

Charles Moore have the game away. Here’s the intro to a piece in Haaretz. Not about the BBC and the UK but there is a campaign into full swing.

I’m afraid it runs in his family. This risible comment of his in Mark Mazower’s FT book review of The West is telling.

Too right JS. It comes to something when a football hooligan is seen as some kind of political messiah. As for Musk, this from Mark Mazower’s review in the FT of The West made me howl with derisive laughter. The article is well worth reading.

PS - I thought this, from a NYRB article on Romania, was quite germane.

Trouble is Bibi doesn’t want one. Here the Israeli writer and peace activist David Shulman writes what I have long thought

She strikes me as being a bit wooden.

However JS some journalists have been allowed in with an IDF guard like this poseur pictured in a man’s death chair.

Staying out of prison is secondary in my view. The portrayal of Bibi as purely a cunning, cynical political operator has missed a very big point which I have pointed out to people. He is a true believer in the cause. The Israeli peace activist David Shulman put it this way in NYRB recently.

What it is happening is no surprise. It long occurred to me that Bibi is a true believer in the cause of greater Israel and not just a cunning, cynical political operator. It is a view shared by David Shulman in NYRB.

I thought to too. In fact there were a number of questions followed by pregnant pauses. And one shouldn’t take our eye off the West Bank ball. Here the opening par of David Shulman’s latest piece in NYRB.

Depends on the journalist. This poseur got through with an IDF guard to sit in a man’s death chair.

Perhaps he should read Gideon Levy’s piece in Haaretz on Sunday.

Tell Rod Stewart that. Perhaps if Naturally Fraudulent became PM - God forbid - he’d ennoble Maggie May’s lover and put him in charge of transport. After all, he has a model train set.
