I think your colour coding of the environment is the best addition I’ve seen to any memory model in like forever. Is so succinct and clear. Genuinely think it’s very cleverly presented 👏👏👏

Ah thanks, means a lot coming from you! So glad you like it 😀😀

I think it may be the happiest I’ve ever been. And I include the birth of my first child and Spurs winning the Europa League in that.

To the replies of ‘this study states the obvious’. People say that as if it’s a bad thing. That’s EXACTLY why we need research. Because we are filled with cognitive biases and common sense isn’t very common. Easy to get caught up in group think.

New research from MIT found that those who used ChatGPT can’t remember any of the content of their essays.

Key takeaway: the product doesn’t suffer, but the process does. And when it comes to essays, the process *is* how they learn.

The response to this has been interesting…

🟡 Twitter: we need to focus on how to help students think hard (I agree ✅)

🔵 Blue Sky: we need oral assessment (I disagree ❌)

🔴 LinkedIn: this is a weak study/we need more AI training/this shows how AI can be good for learning (I cringe a little bit 🙄)

“Thank goodness for this book. Blake Harvard’s topic–the basic functions of human cognition–is quite literally the most important body of knowledge for any teacher to know in order to design and adapt instruction for students."

✈️ Evidence-Informed Wisdom is here!! ✈️

RT for a chance to be the first to read it.

Today we received our advance copies.

It’s a serious book written in a funny way. It’s my favourite thing I’ve ever done.

Will pick someone at random on Sunday night and post them a copy!
