All the evidence says that these populist approaches to youth crime don't work. We need trauma informed, restorative approaches that acknowledge that young peoples' brains are not yet fully developed, not ones that funnel young people into a life of crime.
A former chair of the Law Institute of Victoria’s criminal law section, Mel Walker, described the proposal as “extraordinary, bad policy and counterintuitive”.

The word for killing people without due process is "murder".
Trump has launched seven deadly strikes in the Caribbean Sea.

Remember: no judge or jury has found these boats were trafficking drugs. We're simply taking Trump's word for it.

He’s unilaterally acting as judge, jury, and executioner.

Australia is considering selling minerals needed for green energy to the US Department of War to keep AUKUS intact. @albomp.bsky.social, we don't want to be in bed with Trump's wannabe fascism.
"We know that American companies desperately need critical minerals, and Australia is very well placed to service that need," he said.

"...only a very evil person would ask a question like that,” said Trump when asked how he would respond to families of the dead who say that their loved ones could have been saved with emergency warnings.

Imagine what Trump would say if the floods had happened in California.
