A Ukrainian sergeant gathered 25,000 signatures warning about military gambling addiction. He died on the front two weeks later.
Turns out he was right: soldiers now gamble away more daily than the nation donates monthly to defend itself. And Ukraine still can't enforce the ban.

The 57th Brigade captured a Kenyan national, Evans, near Vovchansk . He says he came to Russia as a tourist, was coerced into signing work papers that turned out to be a military contract, given one week of training and threatened, then fled to Ukrainian forces begging not to be sent back to Russia.
