Look at any issue poll about what people care about. Nobody cites any kind of racial identity stuff. They just don’t. It’s fodder for elites to cosplay about.

I actually do think it means a lot. They don’t think about these things in the way you (or I do) and that’s relevant to winning their votes.

I’m not disputing that some of their policies are regressive. I’m saying that normal voters do not view the party that way. There’s just literally no evidence of that.
