It's like they decided they wanted to make it a TV Event rather than a spectator one, but didn't want people saying "it's all CG"

Yes, it looks like the screen was mounted inside the enclosure with the camera and the projectors, so not visible to any of the crowd.
I don't get it either - it's an impressive display, why add stuff just for television? I assume there was a world feed - I wonder if it was on that as well?

Nice work, and I love how the snow builds on the window frames, but at the risk of being "that person", the links to the 2 ATV 'In Colour' Zoom idents on the atvzooms page are broken. And the link to the ATV Oxford page is broken as well.
