Electronics & guitar janitor and man of meandering interests.
Got a '66-67 Seiko in a rough state. Getting it restored and a nice new leather strap. A lovely old bugger with a long story.

Feeling a bit drained these days, legends. Meet "low bitrate Brad".

We should ban these big pieces of shit from our roads.

Look how far we've come.
This module consisting of 200 components and a proprietary programmed microcontroller.
We used to use a single 30c trim pot.
Oh wait, I still do!

Finishing up the damned cleanest Fender I've ever seen, particularly considering it's from 1965!

Normalize tearing up when you hear a song that touches your soul. You shouldn't need to explain that to anyone.

Trying to remember how to play mandolin tuning on this recently rebuilt antique banjolin.

Trying to catch up on repairs once I finish testing all of these replacement Marshall JCM2000 PCBs before I dispatch them. Approx a month overdue now. Stress building...

A customer paid a local competitor for this. Apparently this was a fret hone, crown and polish. They either took too much off, or should have advised that it was time for a re-fret. Now I need to deliver the bad news.

Handy little stash of NOS valves I just acquired. Matched up nicely on the tester to a quad and pair of GEC KT66's, as well as a nice matched pair of USA Mullard 6L6GC's plus a few loosies.

AU$8,500 amp.
And people wonder why I'm angry.

Trying to catch up on the luthierie at the home workshop over the weekend before going back to amps at the shop this week.
Michelle was generous enough to run the shop in the meantime.

Champions, "Por qué no los dos?" is one of my scratch-builds (cabinet, covering and all) which has been in the wild for a few months now.
A hybrid footswitchable AB763 / 5E3 channel 15W amp with the circuit faithful (including my voicing mods) to each amp, all the way up to the 6V6 output stage.

Friedman Runt 20.
Lovely unit with all the bells and whistles you could ever need. Plate voltage and dissipation a little high for my tastes at 355VDC & 130%, respectively. Some say they sound better there, but I like valves lasting, and the production quality is getting worse every year.

Inadequate repair attempt on an Ibanez RG-something-or-other. Not a lot of timber there to work with. Might be time for the dumpster, depending on budget...

Nothing to see here, cap!
There's a reason I like modern molded safety plugs.

Fucking Mesa/Boogie.
Fuck this shit.
Dumb shit everywhere I look.
