Mallorca coach Arrasate on Pedri: It's difficult to stop him. When you see him, analyse him, his physical data is brutal. You enjoy watching him on TV but there are moments when you suffer against him on the pitch. He's at a superlative level. It's been a long time since I saw a midfielder like him

It was a fundamental moment in my career to work on the design of, as we called it, “Burj”.
(Which is kind of funny since that is simply the word “tower” in Arabic)
Dezeen proclaims the Burj Khalifa the most significant building of 2010. It is for Dubai what Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim was for Bilbao—an instant landmark that put the Persian Gulf city-state on the world map. The design and engineering were by SOM Chicago.

SOM's Burj Khalifa was the most significant building of 2010
The next instalment in our 21st-Century Architecture: 25 Years 25 Buildings explores SOM's Burj Khalifa in Dubai – still the tallest building in the world.

It feels like Casadó has been every bit as important as Lamine Yamal

10+ - Barcelona are the only team to have two different players who have scored 10 or more goals in Europe's top five leagues this season: Robert Lewandowski (15) and Raphinha (10).

Punch.

I saw Casadó between Iñigo and Cubarsi starting a play from the back. And I could not help thinking about a Libero but in the sense of how Beckenbauer played….
Any chance that Frenkie’s calling is as the Barça Beckenbauer?

Great article and insight into the great “Bobby” Lewandowski
Lewandowski highlighted (not for the first time) how the fitness levels have improved from last season with Xavi.

"We feel stronger. When you have this fitness levels we have now, you don’t need to worry about keeping the demands of the game and then also think about how to beat your opponent".
Robert Lewandowski interview: ‘Noisy’ Barcelona, ‘fearless’ youngsters and making an impact in Messi-Ronaldo era
Lewandowski has 19 goals in 17 games in 2024-25. He talks about thriving aged 36, being friends with Yamal and challenging Messi and Ronaldo

Hansi Flick asked if Barça can win without the injured Lamine Yamal tomo vs. Celta Vigo. They have lost both LaLiga games when Lamine has not started this season. "I will ask the team this tomorrow," he said. "I think it's a good question for them"

Could Barça benefit by playing Raphinha as a #10 as just happened with Brazil?
How would this change the formation?
