Okay yes, Raincaster’s star is a rooster, and Wooden Nickel had pretty good chickens too, but we’ll never ever top our Burly Men at Sea chickens.

One more, because raccoons are also great, even though this one stole all our sumac berries.

This magic is all happening maybe fifty yards behind our house, because the woods were left intact. We've been working hard to rehabilitate it from invasives and our tornado damage last spring.

We set up a trail cam along a game trail behind our house a few months ago, and it's like Christmas every time we check it.
