Pre op is taking so much longer than expected. Have to do an update pulmonary function test here at the hospital to determine if I'll need to remain intubated after surgery bc of my chronic respiratory failure. Also high risk for reoccuring PE & hemorrhage. Hopefully my lung function test goes okay🤞

I really wish ppl would stop implying that it's only immunocompromised ppl at disproportionate risk for complications from covid. I'm not sure why I keep having to explain that my fucking *respiratory failure & chronic blood clotting* also put me at increased risk. Being disabled = increased risk.

After posting this video I'm just now noticing part of my nasal cannula tube has been in a very tight knot this whole time, so that's probably why I've been feeling like ass, because I haven't been getting enough oxygen. Lmao.🤦‍♀️

You could help a vulnerable person who lives on the edge have housing or food through mutual aid online. I'm not that impressed by our society's capacity to really meet this moment. We have to be willing to shift the culture that abets fascism too. Even unlearning whiteness.

It comes down to people don't want to take part in small scale individual choices they can make to fight fascism. And I can't make people do that from where I sit or only on a small scale. You could avoid slurs for the disabled that justify the regime's brutality against us, you could wear a mask.

Disability is morally neutral and it doesn't fucking cause fascism but disabled people sure are among the first to be targeted under fascism.

As someone who has hypoxic brain damage from respiratory failure; the way a lot of you conflate any kind of brain injury and/or neurodivergence with immorality really fucking sucks.

Disability doesn't cause fascism. Colonialism, capitalism and white supremacy do.

Also not the point but you do all realize that the brain controls so much more in the body than just emotions and cognitive function, right? Not sure why everyone seems to think brain injury always only translates to emotional and/or cognitive decline.
