Forgot to note about the Zeta movie trilogy. Those get an

How hard are these to jailbreak? I'm thinking even if they're low-end, it could make a good option for some project stuff.

The Switch 2 does. It includes a brick, but it's not fixed to the cable. My portable monitor also included a C to C cable. I think the Google Pixel 9 has one.
There's just still a lot of intertia for A to C due to the ubiquity of A chargers. But as devices get more power hungry, that will change.

I don't buy A to C cables anymore. I've still got some floating around so those A ports don't go unused, but I don't seek out chargers with them anymore.

No device prefers A, at most they don't care. If you want to utilize USB-PD, you have to use C to C. Laptops, phones, tablets, and portable game systems all can/must use PD. Even when you don't need PD, you only need a C to C cable to make use of those ports.
C has a better form factor too.

Just want to call out that this bundle is via Kobo (and I assume DRMed). If you've got a Kindle (or any non-Kobo eReader), there's no straightforward way to get them on there. You'll need an app for mobile and even on PC you'll need a specific reader program (or use Kobo's site).
It's terrible UX.
