She is a lone wolf, and has no need for co stars. At least, for now. Also Nintendo, you are the funniest company ever, having to show off your next generation console early because people wouldn’t shut up about the leaks. A new portrait of Nono, this time posing cutely with more human proportions. In this picture she is making the face “(の∇の)” and is wearing thigh-high boots and a shirt with the “missing picture” icon on it. A cursor can be flying behind her, and the text “(the real) NONO” with an arrow pointing at her head. Comments: This honestly is what I’d consider to be the first REAL Nono image. For one, she doesn’t look weird, For another, this is the design I more or less stick with until the very end of this experiment. I do tweak her a bit over the coming months but this is the most consistent look she’ll have. Those sleeve… thingies are a personal favourite of mine, as well as the boots. I wanted to strike a balance of cute Internet’s personality with a slight hint of mild sex appeal. You’ll see more of that going forward. I’ll also post the reference I used for this image below, as further proof that this character was absolutely designed as she was being drawn. Always plan ahead, kids.

An illustration of Nono, the self titled “Internet Sensation”, sitting with an indescribable face (it being “(のωの )” (her namesake, btw)). Artist’s Comments: Oh god, Nono. The Internet Sensation. I came up with this character on a whim randomly on New Year’s Eve and I never really had a plan for her. You can probably tell by her design, it being very rough and… not very good, honestly? This is the only time you’ll see her like this, as I get rid of the hat and tweak a lot of her outfit and features as I go on. As far as initial illustrations go, this looks like complete ass - but I guess it’s better than nothing. You’ll see how she’ll look in the future tomorrow, I’ll save my design story for then.
