Please. Next time there is a Democratic president, prepare for the return of the Major Questions Doctrine, the statute they relied on to block Biden's moves but disappeared when Trump took office.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Do you support the pardon of the former Honduran president?

SCHMITT: I'm not familiar w/ the facts or circumstances

S: What you mean is you're so terrified of upsetting the president that you'll claim to be unaware of something that's been a major news story for nearly a week?

You people are crazy. Trump's got mad stamina. He only sleeps 3 hours a day. Endless energy. They were going to name the Energizer Bunny the "Trump Bunny."

Ukraine can't accept this "deal." It's effectively waving the white flag and giving Russia everything it wants.

Wasn't that the Empire's motto?

It's funny how the same people who said in 2017 a player with a high number of home runs (Judge) shouldn't win over a player with better overall hitting stats (Altuve) are now saying a player with a high number of home runs (Raleigh) should win over a player with better overall hitting stats (Judge)

The same people caving on this would cave on that. Probably would cave after "assurances" that you would be treated well.

Oh, I'm pretty sure they'll follow through on allowing a vote. Which will fall well short of getting 60 votes (I bet it maxed out around 53 votes). They'll have a good laugh over it.
November 10, 2025 at 12:36 AM
Democrats dominate Election Day and the Senate's response is to cave? For a vote NEXT month on subsidies? That needs 60 votes to pass (won't happen)? Then needs a vote in the House (won't happen). Then needs to be signed by Trump (won't happen)?

So what the f*** was the point of the shutdown?
November 10, 2025 at 12:08 AM
Don't be idiots and agree to the CR with only the promise of a vote. For starters, Republicans will filibuster the vote if they think it might pass. Also, the bill to extend the subsidies will never see the light of day in the House.
