Yashar, I know your love for Iran. The violence against the demonstrators must stop. Do you feel like outside intervention is needed to stop the killing, or does that cause additional problems that are worse than what is currently happening? I know Israel comes into the calculus as well.

This is not as clean as it looks. I would like to see the "no opinion" answers here, too. This could be interpreted as a percentage of people who have just 'checked out' of politics.

It's not a far-fetched idea to believe that Trump wants the cartels to respond. It gives him "permission" to hit harder. This is quickly spiraling out of control. There are no guardrails or any thought to the next steps. THAT is what should frighten everyone.

But I think the way around that might be a failure to provide aid case. There is clear evidence that they did not allow a physician to render aid. The danger was over and the minutes matter.

I am not sure what kind of an investigation the FBI is running. If they are going to call it a Civil Rights case, the feds do have jurisdiction. They can slow walk evidence and a charge/no-charge decision. However, all the evidence must then be released.

Katie - What does this matter? This is not the first or the last incident. They are getting away with this bullshit. Laws don't matter. A law directly requiring the government to produce documents is being ignored. Congress is all bending over. Schumer is "very troubled" or "very disappointed?"

I agree to a point. I agree that a country's government's actions do not always reflect the will or values of its people. However, Americans have had the view that our 'system' was somehow different. The American Dream used to actually be a real thing. Objectively.

You know, the chryon does not have to say "...US Citizen." Isn't it bad enough a human was shot in the face 3 times? Saying it is a US Citizen conveys the message that a US citizen's life is more important. It's not. A life is a life. And the US is guilty of murder.

All of this is a zero-sum game. I fucking love my country, I love our diversity and colors, all of it. But we are rudderless in the literal sense. We have no moral high ground because our government is morally bankrupt. Perhaps 'We the People' need a wake-up call.
