The Women Painters of Washington opened their Summer show at their gallery in the Columbia Tower in Seattle. Here are my five paintings in the show. A few of these were part of my plein air series for the Self-directed Art Practice grant I received from ArtsWA’s Wellness And the Military program.

I went on an excursion to Portland, OR today and saw the troll Olle Bolle!! I have now seen all six trolls! Yay!

This was a fun color experiment in a pastel class taught by Janis Graves at Cole Gallery in Edmonds, WA. The reference photo was provided in class. I just love painting cows.

For my first post, I thought I’d share a “before and after”. The painting on the right was done en plein air and on the left is after finishing it in my studio.
