Hopefully it works out bc this is a great fit. I know everyone wanted him last winter but with their shoulder I thought it was too risky. Getting a couple months for him to get used to the team and giving Alex time to work on an extension before deciding on his option seems perfect.

I think that’s it. There’s a large chunk of AEW fans who are hyper-reactive and don’t let anything flesh out. I think there’s likely a huge overlap between the anti-Deathriders camp and those who didn’t give the Toni Storm gimmick time.

TK has done great long-term booking, we can trust him.

I think AEW fans just get spoiled. Whenever anything is just “ok” somewhere along the line that morphs into “it was awful” or somehow less than it should’ve been.

Feeling like a big match was underwhelming is fine, but if the Okada/Ospreay was the main I don’t think the 4way gets that feedback.

I’m still trying to figure out when this 3-4 month span of awful Moxley matches happened… Was it just the Cope match at Revolution? Because as flat as that one left people feeling, the match itself was perfectly fine it just happened to followed three straight MOTY candidates.

This is fucking bullshit. No AQ team should have to participate in a play-in game. They’re just trying to nuke the tourney and get as many P4 teams into the first weekend as possible.

Reports are that with tourney expansion comes a new opening round - revamping the first four to be 12 AQs and the final 12 at large teams.

Moving all these AQs to the opener ain’t it and is a key reason why tourney expansion harms the smaller schools.

Per reports, the NCAA is leaning towards a model that places the 12 lowest AQs into the "Opening Round" along with the last 12 at large selections, as part of the 76-team proposal.
That would mean tough league champs play early.
Last year's Opening Round teams would've been:
