PTA has - what - like four masterpieces under his belt now, huh?

Lost our 20 year old cat this evening. Roary was fiercely independent yet the sweetest cat ever. She will be missed.

SORCERER > WAGES OF FEAR.

Sorry folks, I don’t make the rules.

Honestly, I think what has made both seasons of ANDOR great is that Tony Gilroy doesn’t really give a shit about STAR WARS.

I guess the Pope didn’t tell Vance “thank you”.

All over the map with some excellent old and new Asian cinema, low-tier Carpenter, and another Oz Perkins home run.

THE MONKEY is a macabre blast and maybe Oz Perkins’s best. So many exploding bodies!

Yeah, so I’m gonna need HEART EYES to be massively successful this weekend for a few reasons: it rules, and @joshruben.bsky.social needs to get his DARKMAN legacy sequel/reboot off the ground.

As far modern slashers go, John Hyams’s SICK is miles better than either of two most recent SCREAM sequels. A great twist on the whodunnit, SICK pulls zero punches with the scares, all while leaning into some delightfully dark humor.

Pardon me while I act like a baby over the fact that all of these shows are in Los Angeles ☹️

Tell me your favorite movie not many people know.

2016’s TOO LATE is a wonderful L.A. based Neo-noir that also happens to wear its heart on its sleeve. John Hawkes is phenomenal in it but he’s phenomenal in everything.

This might be my favorite so far. Adore the shading and bright burst of blue.

The recent 4K release of “North by Northwest” is GORGEOUS. When these are done right, the beauty of these films beams right off of the screen.
