I support the professionalization of police departments, and that certainly requires adequate training facilities. But the renderings for the new Dallas Police Department Law Enforcement Training Center are a bit much when I consider the condition of my kid's middle school in the same city.

What sticks out to me is how absolutely unafraid of prosecution this psychopath is. Part of it is narcissistic personality disorder, but it's mostly the perceived weakness of Democrats. Should they retake power, no one expects Democrats to hold anyone accountable.

Trump saying all of Biden's pardons are revoked is the sort of thing that could bring down the whole house. There's clearly no legal basis for it, yet he may try to use armed force to re-arrest pardoned individuals. A total breakdown of law and order.

Hegseth is very transparently blaming a Navy admiral for his own decision. Let this be a lesson for every other military officer: The Trump administration will issue unlawful orders, then blame you for following them.

As others have noted, Bovino is a career civil servant, not a political appointee. If any other government bureaucrat spoke to a U.S. senator like this during any other period, he or she would be nuked from orbit.

With all that said, I'm curious what people think the solution is. It can't be, "welp, guess we're fucked." Although things will certainly get worse before they get better.
