I learned how to read by perusing the Sunday funnies.

Calvin and Hobbes was and still is the greatest comic strip in existence, and has always been my favorite.

Tonight my daughter pulled this off the shelf for her bedtime story.

All too happy to oblige.

What every guide strives for.

I had clients fly into Minnesota for the weekend with one bird in mind: a Boreal Owl. They had wanted to see one for 30 years.

I found them one by 8:00 AM.

This bird made the days of many people, myself included.

The news sucks.

Look at this Tropical Parula instead.

Since the death of David Lynch, I’ve been rewatching Twin Peaks: The Return.

Somehow it makes more sense than real life now.

I need to get in the habit of posting here more often. Having multiple social media accounts is exhausting, but it feels so much nicer to be here!

Anyway, here’s a Burrowing Owl!

In a very unreasonable world, I’m so thankful for reasonable people.

That includes you, reader.

Last night my two year old daughter overheard us talking about expenses and said “Money?! That’s so silly!”

Kid is going places.

European Robin.

It’s a wonderful feeling, knowing we exist on the same planet as creatures like this.

May we never take it for granted.

I've contemplated deleting all of my social media profiles.

The misinformation and propaganda being funneled directly into people's veins is a major contributor to the downfall of western civilization.

But I can combat that a bit with birds.

So, birds.

Here’s a cute AF Snow Bunting.

Whenever I take my kid to the park and interact with her even a little bit, strange children just come out of the woodwork and hang off of my leg trying to get in on the fun.

Am I just super fun, or do more Dads need to play with their kids? Or both?
