Lynda and I walked the fabulous Wood Lake Nature Center today before tree-felling and construction start on a new building. The geese are back but not the red-winged blackbirds—my personal indicator of when spring is here.

I wish that everyone who is exclaiming about 3-14 being Pi(e) Day would tune into how easy it is to make a pie from scratch, especially since the addition of the food processor to the making of a pie crust. It’s as easy as, well, pie. Then every day would be Pie Day!
