Welcome to your one-way ticket to bookish chaos, cozy weirdness, and occasional snack-based revelations.

I post about:

Books (reading them, not reading them, stacking them like Jenga)

Life observations (usually involving cats, lost socks, or ghosts)

And TBRs that have legally become sentient
It’s Friday. It’s beautiful. I’ve got three days off and 40-ish pages left in The Handmaid’s Tale. The vibes are: cozy dystopia, ambient coffee drinking, and proclamations of blessed be the snacks. Honestly? Peak weekend energy. Nolite te bastardes carborundorum, friends.

Those moments when the vibes are vibing so hard you find yourself dancing through the house before you even know what’s happening.

One minute you’re sipping your iced coffee, the next you’re full-body swaying like a woodland nymph who is the main character in a very weird, very magical musical.

It’s Friday. I survived the workweek. The goats are plotting something. The sky is brooding. And I, too, am both tired and dramatic.

I’m taking off my human job hat and putting on my “chase a goat through a thunderstorm while holding a coffee” hat. Which, let’s be honest, fits better anyway.

Gotta love Springtime in Appalachia: one minute you’re sipping coffee ☕️ with the goats 🐐 under a sunbeam, the next minute we’re all fleeing indoors like villagers in a Studio Ghibli wind scene.

Mother Nature is feeling her feelings today.

I love when I walk into a room and forget what I came for, because it feels like I’ve glitched out of one side quest and spawned into another. Like, “Congratulations, you’re now reorganizing the pantry. You didn’t choose this, but here we are.”

Reading a book where the main character is making wildly questionable decisions and I just want to gently shake them and say, “You could have chosen naps. You could have chosen snacks. But nooo.”

Started reading a novel to escape reality and accidentally chose one where the main character is also trying to escape reality by reading novels. We made eye contact across dimensions. It was awkward.

2020s plot twist: We were all background characters in someone else’s dystopian novel, but now the author is stuck in a rewrite spiral and just keeps adding weird subplots. Can’t wait to see if we make it to the epilogue.

Just finished the Wayward Pines trilogy and I have questions. Not for the author. For humanity. For science. For anyone who’s ever said “this town has a vibe” and meant it as a compliment.

Just finished the #WaywardPines trilogy, and I can confidently say: if I ever wake up in a picturesque small town where everyone’s a little too friendly and no one will let me leave… I will simply start narrating in ominous tones until the plot reveals itself.

Currently in my “haunting the university library in a turtleneck while quietly unraveling” era. No thesis, just vibes and Latin inscriptions that whisper back.

Reading a book where the protagonist makes consistently terrible life choices. So basically I’m yelling at paper instead of reality for once. Is this what they call growth?
May 13, 2025 at 2:25 PM
I don’t want to “rise and grind.” I want to tend my herb garden, chat with a talking crow, and bake scones for my village of emotionally repressed adventurers.

Me: I could never get distracted by a side quest.

Also me: Accepts side quests like “reorganize entire bookshelf by color, mood, and who hurt me.” 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just once I want to be the mysterious person reading a book in a cafe, coffee in hand. Instead, I’m the frantic goblin Googling “what was that book with a ghost but also time travel?” at 2am. Somehow even at 2am coffee is still in hand. 😒

My toxic trait is thinking I’ll read one more chapter at 11:47pm and still somehow respect myself in the morning. In other news. . . Oh my God! Why is it morning already?!

Well, I went from posting regularly to *crickets*. I suppose it’s about time I log back in again and welcome myself back.

Ugh, my latest post on TikTok managed to find the MAGA side. They’ve been blowing up my notifications for a day and a half now.

New on MSNBC: Vice President Harris will fly back to Los Angeles today with an all-female U.S. Air Force crew — the first time an all-female crew has operated a C-33.

Upon landing, Harris will visit a local fire station and then distribute food to community members impacted by the wildfires.

Warriors are not born, they are made.

They are forged.

Just like heat & pressure creates a diamond.

It doesn’t matter if you always win, as long as you always fight.

For those who’ve spent their lives fighting and just can’t do it anymore—that’s ok, too.

Rest now.

We’ve got you.
