It takes time, but it can and does happen. I work at an institution where a single person & those they hired were able to completely transform the culture of that institution from actively hostile to marginalized people to actively—even reflexively—supportive. So many larger scale examples exist.

My feeling has always been that the violent uprising will start when people realize their votes have been stolen or rendered meaningless.

Mid-terms tend to swing in the opposite direction of the party in power. I think the bigger challenge is going to be the ability to hold free and fair elections in the first place.

Electronic machines that *also* produce a paper ballot are good, but using paper ballots only would make voting inaccessible to people who are blind/low vision. #CripTheVote
