Strike anyone else as odd that, while Blacks were about a quarter of the protesters at the Southern Baptist confab, Bondi directs only the arrest of Black people? It's the images their own to feed to their white supremacist base, I think.

I’ve got friends in that orchestra and they’re getting royally screwed by everyone. I understand why Glass did what he did. But I wish someone thought of the musicians caught in the switches here.

I went from London to Pisa in one of those - in the back “seat” with my folks up front and next to my two baby sisters - in winter. Quite the trip.

The trick with the last movement is to think of it as a late Beethoven quartet slow movement and keep it moving. Also works better if the firsts and seconds are on opposite sides of the stage. We did a performance with that setup a while back with Edo de Waart and it was a revelation.
