Election Day is a week away! The current ballot return rate is 16%, which is low even for an off-year. Make a plan to get those ballots in by 7pm next Tuesday. Your vote is your voice!
This has been stuck in my head all day, so enjoy some 80s rock background music while you sit down and vote! 🎶

I spend a lot of time thinking about how to make my community stronger. Here's a silly TBT: an assignment to craft a catchy social post to explain equity. Mission accomplished??

Your ballot will be hitting your mailbox soon!

These past couple months have been a whirlwind and it feels surreal being on the other side and hoping all the great conversations and connections stick with people when they're choosing which circle to bubble. 25 days and many many more doors to go!

Even when there's work to be done canvassing, there's still time for play! I walk the Lake Link Trail every day and have never been over to Josh's Pond until today. We are so blessed to have easy access to this treasure. Broomfield's 40% open space goal is one of many things that makes us special!

I've taught digital citizenship classes, and I am keenly aware how dissatisfying many find the digital experience. It doesn't have to be this way. Glad to see scientists studying "what makes a healthy, vibrant conversation online." For now, cheers to Bluesky cultivating connection and enthusiasm 💛

Fascinating Community Briefing on Transportation and Traffic tonight - did you know the latest stats showed the average Broomfield household spends 21% of their income on transportation? Also, updates to rail projects! A common thread was using public input to shape their priorities and plans 🙌🏻

For us birders, the equivalent of "taking time to stop and smell the roses" is being rooted to the spot and filled with joy watching a pair of rufous hummingbirds playing tag.

Did you know that amazing volunteers partner with the city to encourage ecological diversity in our open spaces? They planted this pollinator patch in the Broomfield Commons to give local wildlife the native food and shelter they need to thrive. Today it was hoppin' with moths and grasshoppers!

Beautiful Saturday at the Broomfield Xeriscape Demonstration Garden! This place is a treasure. Heartwarming to see the pollinators out in full force and working hard on this Fernbush and many many other flowers. Special thanks to the CSU Extension volunteers for the great educational tour!
