Impressive! The REAL Hugh Grant wants to follow little old me! I imagine he’s inspired by the teaching/ pitting/ broken eye stuff that I post here occasionally!
Yeah right!

Mmmmmm detached retina surgery gives you a charming (and pretty blinking painful) eyeball bruise.
Sorry if this gives you ‘the ick’.

The last week has been a little miserable, painful & blurry. Retinal detachment surgery isn’t great. Lovely colleagues have dropped a ‘cheer up’ parcel round inc a perfect piece of art from @SDupp, Black Eye gin,a Cornish hamper, local history document &eye patches @mrjuliandicks

#scleralbuckle #retinaldetachment surgery +3days. Not feeling marvellous tbh and vision is not really there. Fun fun fun but glad for good surgeons

Detached retina is boring now. Still a fortnight till surgery and permanent headache over left eye is annoying!

This afternoon was a touch manic, but great to see our felting project coming on.
We’ve learnt about types of fleece, washed some local fleece, dyed it and now carded it. Next week is wet fleeting and then needle felting.

I’ve still got more local/ family history research to do and waaaay more pottery to make before the end of this holiday. It’s be ok if I didn’t go back till Christmas wouldn’t it?

Ridiculous chickens like to eat the clay from my scrap pile. It must have something they need in it but proves that they are weirdos.

This pattern is called ‘Bowden’ after the economics teacher who taught me at A level. I was so bored that I filled pages with this pattern! Looking forward to see how the they turn out!

I sometimes reflect on what led me to teach in small village schools. When I look back to things I loved as a child, I can see how they have steered my direction subconsciously. #MissRead and #VillageSchool was a book I read and loved when I was about 12 and it made an impact. #EduSkySmallSchools
