Anyone expecting me to stand up and clap the series for, honestly, unpolished games or crappy mobile games that shut down in a year because I'm a fan will be sorely disappointed.

I don't dislike the game and don't agree with the pile on that happened intensely between announcement and release, but I don't love it.

I'm an account with only 300 followers. I'm entitled to have my opinion, as you are.

I mean, that comparison wouldn't make sense, would it? FF7 and BD are eons apart, using very different technologies.

My point is: I'm seeing games being made with better visual presentation using similar technics and I'm upset the game I spent years waiting for wasn't very well made.

The texture on the character models look better in DQ7. And considering they both use the chibi style, the comparison just came to mind.

Besides the difference in art style for the towns, this is BD2 through and through.

Late correction: the artwork seems to have been done by Kamada, not Ikushima.

As it stands, Ikusy doesn't seem to be involved in the game besides the key visual.
