Case in point ISO 27001, nearly everyone uses the example of "US-East-1 gets taken out by an asteriod so we need to be able to move to another cloud provider" as an example of a scenario, and then never builds or expects US-East-1 to go down. When it does the entire world falls over. GAH!

Stripe should do better at following up with said customers later if their flow fails. Or queue it and send the user a notification to authorize later.

These things are often such after thoughts, because nobody takes seriously these "rare" extremely business wrecking moments.

And I believe it's entirely because as a society we're being driven so hard man. Like, 24/7 push, grind, push, build, make money, business, do this, do that.

So something goes offline - for about 20 minutes, and the collective world starts measuring GDP impact. Fuck off.

I'm tempted to do a video on it, but with a solid... 3 people saying the same thing, it's not really the grandest case ever, especially if it turns out it's not the case. So, if you're on CityFibre, ping bbc.co.uk and let me know what you're getting! (And what ISP you're with)

This has directly led to me being on about 14-18MS of Latency in my entire CityFibre experience, when quizzing my brother who's on TalkTalk he's getting around 4-6ms. A reduction in magnitudes.

What's really weird is nobody is talking about this, or has seemingly noticed it.

Cheers Lewis, looking forward to it :)

Slight update, turns out it did add the domain. I don't know anymore...

The only fix I've found for this is to have a dedicated chrome instance with only my work email logged into it, that way it has no way to switch accounts.

And this happens SOOOOOO often with analytics and those products. You'll add a domain to Webmaster or Analytics and before you know it you're wondering where it went because it's flipped you over without even saying

I'm trying to add a new domain to my workspace. I don't use this account all the time, I have my own personal one, when I get to the screen to add the domain as a secondary domain, I get an access denied message because it's tried to add it as my personal account (?!??!?)

Echoing this I love Lewis and he properly makes me feel like I’m not going insane. But I tune into LBC to see what everyone else is thinking too. Hope he takes it on :)

The one crime the president refuses to do. Reading another persons mail. The post office just found their new mascot post Horizon.
