I chose Lyn because I do like her as a character, I liked how her Moveset turned out, and because I wanted to do 10 sword characters in a row as a joke.

And that's fine if you do. It simply wasn't a joke for you while being a joke for different people.

It was just a bit. There's not much need to justify anything for a hypothetical.
I did have worries about taking the bit to far, I even toned it back from my original script, but when I had eyes on it before posting, and was told to keep it.
The joke won't land for everyone, no jokes do.
