yeah IME they got way, way better at nix over the past few months, i have been relying on them to package a variety of software, from third party stuff not in nixpkgs to my own software, and while it can take some coaxing and back-and-forth, i have been very happy with the results

yeah i have noticed these things are pretty bad at rust. just kicks, ive had mine write go, typescript, and python, and they were all pretty good.
i was also surprised at how competent newer models are at managing nixos configuration. i think the majority of my config was written by LLMs at this pt.

vibe coding is a very delicate balance for sure. i have had pretty good luck with this most recent project of mine, the most recent higher end models are surprisingly very good, and overall i think my velocity has increased a lot, considering how complex this app is.

i was talking to gally about the fucking french game and she called it "kkklair obscur" on the basis of it being french. i tried playing that game and like with bg3 i was like wow, this would be great if i enjoyed extremely boring and unengaging gameplay
