It'd kinda funny because I remember enjoying the present day segments in AC 1 and 2 but after that I grew very annoyed by em. They were cool and a novel way to do a historical story at the time but I dunno maybe the writing just got really bad after or something.

Honestly you'd be surprised at how fast you can pick things up. Going from "living with parent" to "oh fuck we are going homeless I need to scramble a living situation in a few days" and not knowing what to do and eventually came out okay. It's scary but definitely possible.
