The devil is in the detail. This is more the specifics of how to do this with a scan converted (filled) circle with minimum overheads in Z80. The principle is sound. Just refactoring the code for performance and simplicity. A job for tomorrow now.

Or use the shape tables and simplify. Get opposite X values and clip/discard as above. Store in R variable. Draw once both calculated.

This will be my third consecutive year now. I was booked as a +1 in 2023 alongside Mack Wharton demonstrating the Agon. Disaster struck, Mack's house was badly hit by Storm Ciarán and as a result he couldn't make it. So I quickly pulled together an exhibit of my own. Twas good fun. Full story here.

The RIAA was suing teenagers. We had to sit through ⬇️ this shit anytime we wanted to watch a DVD. A whole generation shamed for using Limewire and torrents. Only for these silicone valley assholes to now find copyright infringement a necessary evil they shouldn’t have to answer for

My passion from an early age was programming, electronics and art. I ended up getting a job in the computer games industry rather than going to university. Currently an unemployed business software developer. If I had my time again, I'd do some kind of art and computing degree.

I spent a couple of years coding Forth commercially back in the late 90s. Never owned an Ace, but did have a HP RPN scientific calculator at college which helped me get the job.

I coded on the PDP-11 at college in the mid-80s. It was probably at the end of its useful life then. First half of my A-level computing was on that, the second-half in the newish suite of BBC Model B's, maybe 20 in total.

It is possible, though would slow down smaller circles a little. It works, so going to move on for the moment. Can always optimise later.

For the first time in about three weeks I've managed to walk about 5km with hardly any hip pain, and only light use of my hiking stick. Hoping to get back into running soon. This injury sucked big time.

So we've now got mahoosive circles, the code is much simpler and I can reuse most of it for the filled circle clipping routine. I'm also much happier with the source code - it's much more readable, which I think is important. The yellow border effect is for timing the circle plot.

Pretty much the advice I gave to my kids. Do what you enjoy doing. Don’t chase the money. Earn enough to keep the wolf from the door. Eldest did classics, daughter chemistry, youngest is currently studying fine art. Proud of them all.
