It’s amazing that a kid who failed every English class, despite speaking the language daily and winning several reading awards, ends up being sent to summer school (and night school) just to pass High School. Ends up getting straight A’s in the most advanced college English courses. #onpoint

This was created when I was in 4th grade, my Teacher Mrs. Gordon at Clemens Elementary, absolutely hated it, not because it was Joe Louis knocking out “Germany”, but because its potential to represent resistance, and division, which flew in the face of Martin Luther King’s sacrifice. Art has context
