You’re absolutely correct like they literally taught us how to search through them effectively at my school 😭 even in high school cus I remember hitting like 10th grade and being a lil shook they didn’t bring them up anymore

Lmao my elementary/middle was a charter and had one little computer lab for the entire school so we still had to use encyclopedias and our teachers wanted us to cite them. this was in a big city in California too so I know it was common in other places 😭

rolling ray did so much for black, queer and/or disabled spaces that i don’t think even he realized how much of an impact he made. he destigmatized disability in a way no one can even fathom, and he did it just by being himself! i can’t articulate how colossal this loss is.

i’ll never forget that video of rolling ray heckling a RIOT SQUAD BY HIMSELF during the george floyd protests, demanding justice for him and other victims of police brutality. few people exhibit that type of bravado. he refused to allow anyone to see his disability as a hindrance & it was inspiring.
