books i started to read but didn't finish:
myth america: i'm almost done w it. it's a tough read about every lie we were told and there are many
a little life: i will not be finishing this fuck ass book

we're going to need more wine:
-she is as open and as honest as one can be. she lived so many lives and she doesn't even rly get into the meat and potatoes of her career, this is mostly all just personal stuff and it's so vulnerable

seven husbands:
-greaaaattt read, very entertaining, very real and gut wrenching like kudos to the writer

sex with presidents:
-surprisingly jfk isn't the freakiest frog and some of these men r disgusting

with amusement for all:
-i have so many thoughts on this book, but i'll settle on the fact that everything is just a loop and everything impacts everything

down the drain:
-i'm so juliaaaaaa, she made me fall in love w her after reading this. it's such a raw and vulnerable book about her life. she went thru a lot of shit like she lived so many lives. great read

the mother of black hollywood:
-she talks about all of her sexcapades and her journey being a black woman in hollywood. she's funny and the read is very enjoyable. she also talks about her parental issues and how that affected her in life as well as her mental health

the way we never were:
-i would definitely recommend this book if u want to know the realities of how life was back in the day. it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows like older ppl like to make it seem. it also talks heavily about how racism changed the economy for the worse

socialist reconstruction:
-a very insightful look into socialism. it feels unachievable, but they do a decent job of breaking down what life could look like. it's kind of utopian, which is why it feels unachievable

eat pray love:
-i found myself relating to her feeling stuck in life and grasping at straws trying to bring some normalcy to her life. i rly enjoyed it and i think anybody can relate to it in some way. maybe u don't have to travel to 3 different countries, but u have to do something to feel ok
