As someone who's only casually played one hero shooter (OW) this game has certainly appealed to me from a gameplay perspective, not surprised by its success.

Calvin and Hobbes is truly one of the best pieces of media of all time. Love how this was the send off strip.

As someone who never experienced D1 I think it would be nice to play the game with the updated QoL features we have in D2.....but at the same time why bother when you can still play the game.

I know MP games don't often win GOTY awards but it's Helldivers for me. While it had ups and downs it raised the bar and set a new standard for live service MP games.
