Poll from Europe Elects 28 October to 4 November 2024 of political parties in Hungary. The centre right Tisza Party comes in as the biggest party at 46%, before the authoritarian Fidesz at 39%. More liberal parties are not doing well, which in unsurprising given the authoritarian shift in Hungary.

Except from Hix and Høyland (2022), stating that "The CJEU is composed of one judge per member state", and that "the CJEU is adjusted by the General Court". The CJEU is confused with the ECJ here. Except from Young and Roederer-Rynning in Wallace, Pollack, Roederer-Rynning, and Young (2020), stating that "The CJEU [...] is composed of one judge per member state". Again, this is using CJEU to refer to the ECJ specifically.

We might, for example, ask how the #uk Supreme Court is performing in terms of gender #equality at the bench. The results are not uplifting: After a slight improvement in the late 2010s, around half the judgments (48%) published since 2020 are signed by panels of exclusively male justices…
The presence of female justices in the judgments of the UK Supreme Court over time since 2009. Most years, just less than half the judgments of the Court are signed by male-only panels. There is no obvious time trend over time, but the situation seemed to improve slightly between 2018 and 2020, before getting worse again after Covid. It is exceedingly rare for women to serve together on the bench. Most judgments are resolved in chambers of five justices, a larger chamber of seven is normal but not the default.
