Redditors say the most racist shit about the Na’vi from Avatar and expect you to accept it because they didn't target a real minority.

Fucking *this*.

If them being bold enough to be pulling this shit on white people now is shocking to you, I need you to sit down for a good minute and think about the shit they've been doing to minorities for *centuries* without reprisal.

Then get mad about it. Then do something about it.
It’s crazy how it’s suddenly “wow we live in a police state” when it happens to white people

I'm not saying you have to boycott 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, but I need you to know that Ralph Fiennes supports JK Rowling. Nobody is bringing this up anymore, but this should've been a major talking point regarding not only this film but the one before it.

It’s no longer a Nobel Piece Prize once its in Trump or Kissinger’s hands, it’s a Nobel Piss Prize.

I can see why some people might think that Machado giving her Nobel Peace Prize to Trump would embarrass the Nobel committee. But any organization that would give a peace prize to Henry Kissinger is probably immune to embarrassment.

I can’t imagine being a Republican in the past 10 years, like how does someone try to justify that?

Other horror writing tip of the day: Be careful with the "genre mishmash" concept. While starting slow can work, so long as the character writing is good enough, horror comes first. If it's a horror drama, fans will think of it as a drama. If it's a horror comedy, fans will think of it as a comedy.

Horror writer tip of the day: don't let rationality confine you. "But what if it doesn't scare people anymore?" It doesn't have to; people watch crappy horror films and find them hilarious in an ironic manner. Horror fans are liberal and varied about what they want, so write what you want!

“Old Family Guy was better,” no, it was worse. The animation and color scheme were worse, the jokes were unfunnier. I could barely sit through the old episodes I’ve seen, they were almost unwatchable. The new ones are funny at least twice an episode, it’s gotten better if anything.

WAIT! We can’t be so mean to ICE! What would we ever do without masked, unqualified military units goose stepping through our towns and committing hate crimes against innocent people?

I will bet my life on Illumination leaving Rosalina's dead mom backstory out of the Mario Galaxy Movie. There is no way they're even implying that happens in the vaguest sense.

PSA: DON'T share the pic of someone burning a Khamenei picture with a cigarette. She denies the Gaza genocide and Palestine's right to exist, supports JK Rowling, and isn't even Iranian. She's a Torontan who burned the pic to be performative, and everyone fell for it.

It just dawned on me that I don't even like gaming. I'll play games for cultural reasons, but I don't remotely seek out gameplay. I love simulations, storytelling, and abstractly building off of them to create my own narratives. It makes sense why I liked TLOU2, even though many others didn't.

I’ve wanted to make an XCOM-inspired B-movie for so long but I don't think anyone would pick it up in this economy. I feel like I’d have to make it a horror film exclusively about the zombies and that’s not even close to my vision.

Senators Ron Wyden, Ben Ray Lujan, and Ed Markey just published an open letter urging Apple + Google to remove the X and Grok apps from their app stores:
www.nbcnews.com/tech/interne...
Thousands of people on X are using Grok to create sexualized images of adults + minors wearing minimal clothing. This not only violates X's own content policy, it may violate the guidelines of Apple’s App Store and the Google Play store:

Why Are Grok and X Still Available in App Stores?
Elon Musk’s chatbot has been used to generate thousands of sexualized images of adults and apparent minors. Apple and Google have removed other “nudify” apps—but continue to host X and Grok.
