It’s so frustrating to see scientists using image models for this kind of thing, the results are really bad compared to what actual artists could do. So thank you for your service!

Have personally had some challenges finding something that works for me (atm the best medication I have is a morning run), but at the same time I think they are a medical intervention with a very high success rate. So worth trying if you can!

It’s not just producing statically likely responses based upon on some style, otherwise the work will come off as derivative and boring, and won’t progress the conversation further.

Artist’s influences interact with a lot of stuff, including life experiences, personal interests (outside of art), etc. Not to mention the important problem solving that happens during creation, and over a period of creative work.

Also side-note, but shout out to Alexis King for her work in teaching Haskell in an accessible, yet deeply technical way. I know she’s moved on from that stuff now, but that’s the kind of pedagogy I’d love to see more of - it’s great for dispelling myths.

Yeah, it feels incredibly unpolished. I think there’s going to be a dedicated option for it soon though (it’s in the beta builds), so I hope that improves things.
