My old pal Harry Standjofski has left the stage at the far-too-young age of 66. He was a leading light in Montreal’s theatre scene as actor, writer, director, teacher. Still no mention in English-language media.

My contrarian take: If Mangold wins the Oscar for either best director or best adapted screenplay—but especially the latter— for A Complete Unknown, I’ll be super-annoyed. Mostly fine performances in service of a terrible, contrived, shallow script.
