Had a great time watching the drone show put on by @meetgamma.bsky.social last night for SF tech week! Congrats to their whole team! Especially loved seeing their mascot, the three-eyed cat “Mr. Peepers”, in 3D above the Ferry Building 😻

I like Josh Comeau’s analogy that using AI to code is a bit like using cruise control to drive - it goes mostly where you point it yet it requires steady guidance. This is a great article and definitely worth a read: www.joshwcomeau.com/blog/the-pos...

I really like this idea. I developed a habit of reading Wikipedia while brushing my teeth, so this app was made for me.

It is sad that David Lynch is no longer in this world. No artist could make you contemplate the surreal darkness underneath the surface of society in the way that he could.

I just watched this video of a guy who forked Bolt.new and modified it to allow for LLMs other than Claude. I was able to clone his repo and run it locally with Llama 3.2 without a problem. Llama 3.2 results aren't as good as Claude of course, but hey, it's fun and free: youtu.be/3PFcAu_oU80?...

I wrote a handy how-to guide on deploying a full stack app with Firebase App Hosting, mostly for myself to remember how I did it, but it could be helpful for someone else too! I used Gamma sites to create the guide.
