I’m stuck on the premise that AI is a usefully succinct term. Like a bad metaphor, it is useful for all the wrong reasons, eg, obfuscation, conflation, deception, confusion, hype, etc.

That said, I agree that there are positive use cases of supposedly smart tech lumped under AI umbrella
