Last event at #MarriottWaters #parkrun for the year. I was slow, having volunteered the past 2 weeks. The year in perspective : 39 runs, 18 volunteer credits (inc. Course checking, First Time Briefing, and Tail walking which is why my total exceeds 52 weeks). Marvin enjoyed walking the 5km.

First zucchini harvested for the season. A bit later than usual, but everything seems "behind" this year. Looked almost ready to "take off"

At #MarriottWaters #parkrun for our 350th event. Timekeeper was late, so I jumped in (3rd time only in that role, out of 93 volunteer credits). All good, she apologised and "understudied" so she would know the role for future events.

30:31 for the 5km at #MarriottWaters #parkrun for me this week, which is slow. Mind you, this is my 36th run for the year (prev. best 35 in 2024). With 14 volunteer credits, I am aiming to match my best for any year, which is currently 16

My local #parkrun at #MarriottWaters hits 350 events next week! brilliant. We might be a relatively small event, but the "community" is wonderful

recently finished @aptshadow.bsky.social "The Final Architecture" sci fi trilogy. omg. World building on a universal scale, with characters on the human scale, with a plot and prose that seriously interferes with stopping so you can sleep. a joy that I happily recommend.

our local Community Centre is having a 10th Anniversary Open Day this afternoon. On behalf of the Gardening Club I have tomato, cucumber, and basil seedlings to share AND 8 pots of Dendrobium kingianum keikis (4 different cultivars)
