Unpopular opinion: Charlie Brown (Peanuts) has always depressed me & I’ve never seen the appeal outside of the Vince Guaraldi Trio as the music IS excellent. Never found Snoopy amusing. Despite all this, annually, I watch it with my parents (currently) as they grew up with it. Still don’t like it🤣😂😇

Just watched Spielberg’s Hook for the first time in probably 25 years & man does it ever still hold up. The set designs & costumes, the overall aesthetic, the timeless themes & Robin fucking Williams will never NOT be my most favorite person I never met speaking of TIMELESS. Other thoughts include:

Half a decade ago I had a younger colleague spout it after nearly everything they agreed with ad nauseam & after ignoring the internet all day was just met with multiple chyrons, about fucking Christmas gifts, that included it 🤢😡🫠

Well, just finished Frankenstein. Breathtaking. That was pure poetry as film. A meditation. There are myriad moments & scenes that will live rent free in my head for the rest of my life. This is Del Toro’s Opus. True Masterpiece.
