I think David Bromberg pulled that band together from other performers at that festival. You don’t hear the jews harp in bluegrass. David and Tom are from the folk scene and John is bluegrass. He liked David’s approach and they had a strong musical bond.

Thanks Iona - the guy playing the banjo is John Hartford who was a leading light in folky bluegrass. He wrote the well known song “Gentle On My Mind”. That instrument is known here as a Jews Harp or a Jaws Harp. Good morning and happy Friday 😎
