Today I arrived at the largest town on #Sado Island.
And, I came face-to-face with a road sign I've never seen before. I think it means 'Taking the scenic route is prohibited'. (I could be wrong here).

I was in total disbelief when someone told me that, here in an island smaller than the average dinner plate, there's a city-of-sorts on the other side of this diminutive landmass.

Having now reached the mountain summit twice, I decided to visit a town I had not seen before here on #Sado Island.
This must be a new development (the houses are made of brick here and not garden fences like in the old village I saw).

I'm still on #Sado Island, and, a little way up an unremarkable hill- a large grassy area that looks suspiciously like a Roman amphitheater. (Those Romans travelled way further than I previously thought).

Halfway up the wrong side of a mountain here on #Sado Island, I encountered a village where all the houses are made of fence panels. (It certainly saves bringing bricks uphill I suppose, but the cost of building fences will skyrocket).
