October hasn’t been Octobering like I know how October can. It’s been a strange month & on top of that I’ve worked every day except last Saturday when I took time off to attend the Merrimack Valley Halloween Book Festival. It’s the only thing that has kept me connected to my favorite month.

It’s been awhile since I took a day off & went to a book store. Was I overly excited, overly caffeinated & told to stop running around like a wild child loose in a candy store? I cannot confirm nor deny, but I will say before they kicked me out I was able to buy a few books to add to my collection.

Day 1 of Horror on the Rappahannock in Fredericksburg, VA was a blast! The book swap was awesome. The Haunted Fredericksburg Book Talk w Historian Michelle L. Hamilton was both intriguing & spooky. Loved it! And bourbon cocktails at the Ironclad Inn - YUM!
