Jason T was just on the Jas show and explained why it is still needed and convinced me that it’s needed. With such a good detailed explanation it changes things a lot. CFIA could do a better job educating the public. They get a F for that.

The court ruling said that they can’t look at it in hindsight or the delays they lead to the current outcome as a reason to squash the original order. It was the best option (at the time) even if the situation is different now which is why he ruled in favour of the original cull. (My understanding)

It’s sad the court ruled to kill the birds. At this point so long after infection it seems pointless. The surviving birds are not infectious and killing then all now just seems to be about power only. Not science.

You don’t have to. If the birds are alive after being exposed 2 months ago then they are fine. Bird flu kills quickly. This is where the science and common sense comes in.

Looking forward to buying fruits from Canada, Mexico, Peru, Chilli, Spain, Greece, New Zealand, South Africa. I will be avoiding anything USA. What I don’t know is my Mexican picked Berries from a US company mean it’s actually American?
