Exactly. It should be way easier to own your adventure data and do useful stuff with it. That's what the first version I'm working on is going to help facilitate.

🙌 What do you like most about onX? I know they are huge in the hunting space and growing into fishing and backcountry stuff (hiking, mtb, skiing, etc).

+1 for Notes app! I'm also heavy on Trailforks and RideWithGPS, which are pretty bike-centric.

I asked Claude Code to build a joke based network using the atproto skill, and it pretty much one-shotted this app complete with lexicon validation, jetstream integration, etc. Wild.

It was more useful / interesting before all the other ai companies had web search and deep research. Now what it does feels like a commodity.
