I spent €6k on solar and around €14k on a second hand EV. No battery. Electricity company pays me for microgeneration. So saving €1.5k a year on electricity bill. Car tax is cheaper, no fuel costs so car has pretty much paid for itself over the last 5 years. It's definitely worth it.
